Fire Omar Minaya

Are we really going to have to sit through another year of Omar’s mismanagement? That would be really, really bad. There are many reasons to fire Omar, here are 10 of the worst:

1) The Darren O’Day debacle

2) The Oliver Perez debacle ($12M a year for that kind of performance is Bill Bavasi  bad).

3) The Scott Schoenweiss debacle (if the same money had gone to Chad Bradford, the Mets would almost certainly have won one more game, and gone to the 2007 playoffs

4) The Marlon Anderson debacle

5) The Julio Franco/leaving Jesus Flores unprotected for the Rule V draft debacle

6) The Guilermo Mota debacle

7) The JJ Putz trade debacle

8) The Jeff Francoeur debacle

9) The Jerry Manuel debacle

10) The Adam Rubin debacle

(and if he fails to get anything for Billy Wagner, projected as a type A free agent, that will be right up there).
